Early Elementary A: Discovering the Joy of Reading
This course is called “The Joy of Reading” for a reason. We help your young learner get there faster. This course gets kids reading at and above grade level while also learning to write clearly, recognize advanced vocabulary words, and articulate their own opinions on the books they read.
Make Your Point: Introduction to Public Speaking
A toast, a podcast, a TED talk – your student will pitch all three! Public speaking and the art of audio content creation have never been more popular. Students will learn speech organization, tone, body language, and more while building a professional portfolio of recordings.

How it Works
Juni schedules classes based on your schedule, and we’ll use all the details you provide on instructor preferences and your child’s personality and learning style to match them with a great instructor!
After class, you can find progress reports and instructor feedback in the Juni portal. We handle all logistics so your child can focus on enjoying learning.

Sign up for your free placement class and include your desired course, level, availability, and any learning preferences.
2.
In the placement class, our instructors get to know your child, go over Juni tools and resources, and assess their level in the specific subject. They will then confirm the course selection.
3.
Your child will be matched with their ongoing instructor to continue with weekly 50-minute 1:1 classes.
All Communication Courses
Early Elementary A: Discovering the Joy of Reading
This course is called “The Joy of Reading” for a reason. We help your young learner get there faster. This course gets kids reading at and above grade level while also learning to write clearly, recognize advanced vocabulary words, and articulate their own opinions on the books they read.
Early Elementary B: Write Your Own Picture Book
Early elementary students will author and present an original picture book! Students will learn parts of speech, capitalization & punctuation, practice writing, and learn strong presentation skills. When the book is complete, Juni will help you print their first novel.
Middle School A: Reading & Analyzing Literature
Analyzing literature can be intimidating, but we break it down! Students will master middle school level skills in reading and analyzing literature and write short pieces of fiction themselves. They’ll also become a clearer communicator along the way.
Middle School B: Analytical & Creative Writing
Learn to write with purpose. Tell a story. Change hearts and minds. Students will strengthen their analytic skills and argue their points of view in the first half of this course. In the second, they’ll nurture their creative side by building stories, plots, characters, and more.
Middle School C: Grammar & Mechanics
Grammar doesn’t have to be boring. By weaving it with fun writing projects, your child will strengthen their skills in the rules that give written language structure and clarity while becoming exacting with their punctuation.
Novel Writing
It’s ambitious, but middle and high schoolers have the ability and creativity to write novels. They just need some guidance! We’ll coach them through creative writing skills, practice accountability, and offer expertise along the way.
