Announcing Our Online Math Competition for Kids

Here at Juni Learning, we continue to be inspired by our students’ creativity and potential.

The popularity of our Coding Hackathons for kids has highlighted to us that this generation of students is unique: they crave opportunities to develop creative solutions to real problems. They’re unafraid and constantly searching for ways to be even more deeply engaged in what they’re learning!

We’ve developed our online math courses to empower students to be critical thinkers because we know they’ll be tomorrow’s leaders. Our curriculum pushes students to articulate their thinking to their instructors and peers and engage in rigorous problems that require them to build bridges between different mathematical concepts.

Today, we’re taking our vision a step further.

Introducing Juni’s 1st Mathematics Open Challenge!

Waffles for national waffle day

We’re excited to officially announce our very first Juni Mathematics Open Challenge!

In our Open Challenge, participants showcase their mathematical skills and creativity by competing with students across the nation. This competition isn't about calculating one right answer or a timed test — rather, we present students with an interesting mathematical modeling challengeand task them with applying mathematical ideas and communicating their findings.

In celebration of National Waffle Day on August 21st, we’ve designed our first August 2020 Open Challenge so participants can feel empowered to take everything they’ve learned in their math classes and apply it to designing and selling a long-cherished breakfast item: waffles!

Through the Open Challenge experience, our goal is for our participants to feel excited about collaborating with their peers, thinking critically, and building a creative final product.
